Company History
Mountain Air Conditioning and Heating realizes that everyone claims to deliver excellent service and that the phrase is overused. However, we don’t consider excellent service simply a term – it’s the core of our business. Mountain Air is a locally-owned, family business and because of that, our reputation is on the line. We don’t just want to meet your expectations… we want to exceed them. Below are a few things you can expect when you choose Mountain Air for heating and air conditioning in Utah:
- Experienced, NATE-certified service & installation technicians
- Same-Day Service
- Local & family-owned
- Phone calls answered by our own staff
- Quality products and workmanship
- Excellent customer service
Mountain Air Conditioning and Heating was started by Vance Rhead and Lori Barlow-Rhead. Lori grew up in the HVAC industry and learned the meaning of old-fashioned values and personalized service from her father, Roger Barlow. He founded Barlow Wasatch Furnace Company in 1954. In 1980, Lori’s husband, Vance, began working there, and Lori joined the company in 1989. In June of 1993, Lori and Vance bought the company from her father and in 1999 sold it to Lennox Industries, which later became Barlow Service Experts. In the fall of 2008, they decided to return to their independent, family-owned roots. They took their combined 40 years of knowledge and experience in the HVAC industry, including air conditioning in Utah and furnace repair in Utah and started Mountain Air Conditioning and Heating.
We pride ourselves on being local and community oriented. Our goal is to always provide the very best in customer service, quality workmanship, and personal commitments to our valued customers. The technicians who have worked with us for years feel the same way. Our technicians take pride in doing a job right the first time and in going above and beyond just repairing your furnace and air conditioner. This is our livelihood, and we intend to run our business the right way – by putting our customers first. We hope you’ll give us a chance to earn your business and experience what it’s like to be a part of the Mountain Air family.
