We have used Mountain Air twice since we bought our house in North Ogden. Their sticker was on the furnace so we decided to use them and hoped that they had done maintenance. Last year our AC completely died and was just pumping hot air into the house. It was super late when I called but they have a 24-hour emergency line and someone answered and said that they would have someone out by 9 a.m. the next day. They did diagnosed it as refrigerant leak seeing as to do an actual diagnosis of where that could be on the lines would cost 3,000 or more, the tech suggested just a recharge on the refrigerant. It took 5 lb of refrigerant but worked great the rest of the year. This year I started noticing that the AC was having a really hard time keeping the temperature at what I set it at so I called them before it completely died. Taylor was my tech this time he asked what was going on with it. I told him another tech diagnosed it last year as the leak so I just need refrigerant and I'm sure it will fix the problem. He grabbed his tools and did his thing outside and within 20 minutes I noticed a HUGE DIFFERENCE in how cold the air was from the vents. He wanted/needed to check a couple things downstairs and also did something I don't remember the tech doing last year. He put a little instant read thermometer in a vent and return and told me we should see at least 20 degrees of cooling taking place or there could be something else going on. All was well and he gave me my total now this is where I will be a customer for life (as long as they keep this up and have techs like Taylor). He listed what the charges were and I asked him about the $80 diagnostic fee if there was someone I could talk to about it because as I saw it; they were the ones who diagnosed it and told me I would need a recharge every year to keep it running optimally and not have to fill it from empty (5 lbs. Last year only 2 lbs this year saved me $300). Because of that I don't think the diagnostic fee is necessary, they already know what the problem is! Plus if that was going to be the case and Taylor said "why not use someone else?" My response was RIGHT?! Well he knows his boss and what he would tell him to do and waived it right there saved everyone time and money. His boss Vance would have done the same thing is what I am told. Great company! Great techs! Fabulous service! Respectful safe and fast! As long as they keep that up I'm a lifetime customer!

After calling around to a few companies for A/C maintenance, I scheduled an appointment with Mountain Air. Every employee I had interactions with was amazing, from the initial phone call to the technician. They were extremely informed, kind and efficient as I discussed my concerns with the office staff. JD was the technician that came to my home and he was phenomenal. He walked me through every step of the diagnostic process, discussed all of my options for service and repairs, and was exceedingly professional and knowledgable. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of repairs or maintenance on their heating/cooling units, remarkable service!
